What is Integrated Kinesiology

My story on the development of Integrated Kinesiology

  The Development of Kinesiology

The foundation for the development of kinesiology came about in the 1960’s when a U.S. chiropractor named Doctor Goodheart began combining acupuncture theory with a variety of western discoveries of touch reflexes and muscle testing. He used the Eastern meridian system for discovering imbalances in the organs and energy systems in the body and the resultant effects in the body that are registered in the muscles.

So Dr. Goodheart developed his system which he called Applied Kinesiology. One of his students, Dr. John Thie, developed the system which many people are familiar with which is called Touch for Health.

Another one of Dr. Goodheart’s students was Behavioral Kinesiologist developer and a psychiatrist, Dr. John Diamond, the author of “Your Body Doesn’t Lie”. His work is based upon his many years of practice in psychiatry, preventive medicine and his association with Dr. George Goodheart's work in applied kinesiology. Behavioral Kinesiology is an integrated system for assessing and evaluating the effects of all stimuli, internal and those that are outside your body, and their influences on the body, enabling one to arrive at a new understanding of the body energy system. His work began bringing together the effects of the mind and emotions, stress management and the balancing of the whole body system.

Around the same time, in the 1970’s, a John Barton developed a system of kinesiology called Biokinesiology. It is an offshoot of Applied Kinesiology and Touch for Health, and its principle is that stressful emotions are the basis of most illnesses. The proper corrections are discovered through muscle testing and the correction comes about through nutrition, by practicing positive emotions, biokinetic exercises and massage to provide a very holistic way to balance the body Today there are many different forms of specialized Kinesiology and more are being introduced as people intuitively discover the many wonderful facets of this healing science. Most of these techniques take into consideration the body, mind and spirit.

Without the integration of all of our being, we cannot properly heal. It is like putting a topical medicine on an injury and a band aide and hoping that will heal the problem. But if the problem is based on blood toxins, the band aide and topical ointments might not help much at all.

My studies into kinesiology incorporated several of these basic kinesiology techniques, as well as a newer offshoot, Touch for Health. I took these techniques and under the guidance of my Higher Self and the Ascended Masters, developed a system for spiritual development. My goal was to achieve the highest healing in the least amount of time. Because spiritual healing was my highest goal, often I would not even address physical issues, as they were at the bottom end of the cause of disease. Whereas we see in allopathic medicine that the physical body is predominately the only concern of the medical doctor. Since the physical body is the last of the four lower bodies to show "dis" ease, the cause of the physical ailments are most often started in the upper bodies. Therefore it makes sense to treat the upper bodies and the physical body will heal on its own accord, following the corrections to the mental and emotional bodies as well as the spiritual, etheric body.

With these tools we have the potential to not only make swift progress in healing and integration, but take back control of our lives where we are not dependent on medications, doctors and psychologists to assist us to reach our maximum potential in this life.
